It’s vibrant and herbaceous, way to freshly-squeezed, perfectly tart, ruby red grapefruit juice, and topped off with a touch of sparkling water.


for the rosemary grapefruit easy syrup (makes about 1-1/2 cups):
1 cup water
3/4 cup natural cane sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup contemporary grapefruit juice
2 big strips of grapefruit zest
2–3 big sprigs of contemporary rosemary

for the honey rosemary grapefruit sodas:
1–2 elements rosemary easy syrup
2 elements contemporary grapefruit juice
3–4 elements sparkling water (I like LaCroix)
ice/fresh rosemary sprigs/grapefruit slices for serving/garnish

make the rosemary grapefruit easy syrup:
Heat the water, sugar, honey, and grapefruit juice in a medium sauce pan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, till the sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes.

Add the grapefruit zest and rosemary, and permit gently simmer for one other 5 minutes. Remove from the heat, and steep for as much as an hour.

Strain by means of a fine-mesh sieve right into a tumbler jar, and sit back earlier than serving. Can be made in advance, and saved within the refrigerator for about a week.
